TCU commit continues to attract attention

Pineville (La.) 2015 three-star offensive tackle Cody Ford has continued to see his stock rise and more and more schools enter into the recruiting picture.
He picked up his first offer from TCU in December, and after a junior day visit to check out the Horned Frog program he decided to commit to Gary Patterson over offers from Louisiana Tech and McNeese State.

"It feels great," Ford said of making his choice. "I'm ready for the season to start so I can just ball out there and do everything I can to stay on the right track."
There were plenty of reasons for his choice and he continues to like what he has seen.
"It was an excellent program with great facilities," Ford said. "Their coaches were awesome. I love their coaches. And it's a great community."
Ford also recently visited LSU for the Tigers' Boys from the Boot recruiting event. The standout offensive linemen enjoyed his trip but at the end he says it helped reinforce his decision to commit to TCU.
Cincinnati has also recently offered, and he has been in contact with Bearcats' safeties coach Jeff Koonz. Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana Tech have also been in touch. Ford also plans to visit Louisiana Tech on March 15.
Ford did plan to visit Oklahoma State on Sunday, but decided to re-schedule the visit. The Cowboys have not offered, but they have shown quite a bit of interest in his talents. He now plans to visit Stillwater in April.
He continues to listen to other programs, but does feel good about his decision.
"I'm kind of looking around still, but as of now it's all TCU," Ford said.
However, he does admit one program is making a strong run right now.
"Oklahoma State," Ford said. "it's going to be a tough decision between those two."
Ford earned offensive line MVP honors at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour camp in New Orleans on Saturday.
