Tampa, Fla. standout defensive lineman Anthony Chickillo will be one of the most sought after defensive ends in the nation. Chickillo, 6-3 and 226 pounds, is from Alonso High School. According to Chickillo he has over 40 scholarship offers.
"I think the number is 42 scholarship offers right now," Chickillo said. "Pitt, Michigan State and Syracuse are the latest schools that have offered me.
"Right now I am pretty open with everyone."
Chickillo has made unofficial visits to all the Florida schools. He has spring break starting at the end of this week and he plans on getting out and seeing some more campuses.
"I am trying to get together with my coach and talk about it. I want to get out there next week and see as many schools as I can. There are lots of schools I want to check out."
Last season, in limited action because of a broken collar bone, Chickillo recorded 80 tackles, 12.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
