THE STORYLINE

Jadon Haselwood was committed to Georgia for a long time, but after his decommitment in October the five-star receiver has everyone guessing.

The Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove standout is still serious about the Bulldogs and took another visit to Athens this past weekend. Miami has clearly become a serious contender and the Hurricanes might be the team to beat. Haselwood has always talked about Oklahoma being a dream school. Auburn has tried to stay in the mix as well.

According to CaneSport.com, Haselwood’s plan is to have letters-of-intent from both Miami and Georgia, his two finalists, on hand Wednesday and sign one. But he won’t send it to the school of his choice until after he announces at the All-American Bowl.

Which means at least a couple more weeks of speculation surrounding the five-star receiver. Will it be Georgia or Miami for one of the best receivers in the 2019 class?

FIRST TAKE: JAKE REUSE, UGASPORTS.COM

“Jadon Haselwood's decision still feels very up in the air to me, but with the struggles at Miami - which has seemed like the other school in main competition with the Bulldogs- it's harder to project him there. From an offensive fit, Oklahoma feels like the situation that makes the most sense, but he's been a bit more focused regionally on the Southeast. In the end, his long-term relationships with the Bulldogs, both coaches and players, would seem to be the factor that should sway this decision the most. I'll go with Georgia today, but with this one, literally nothing will surprise me.”

SECOND TAKE: MIKE FARRELL, RIVALS.COM

“It’s going to come down to Georgia and Miami. I predicted Georgia, but I don’t really feel confident about it. I think Miami might surprise here because he was sort of tied to Justin Fields and if Fields is transferring that might influence his decision quite a bit. We’re going to see how this plays out. Right now, I’m going to stick with Georgia, but I’m not confident about it.

“If the Bulldogs got him back it would be huge. He’s a big wide receiver, a big-time kid who can score from everywhere, a red-zone threat. It would be bigger for Miami if the Hurricanes got him, but Georgia could certainly use a wide receiver with his talent.”
