MORE TAKE TWO: How dominant will Wisconsin's OL be in the future?

THE STORYLINE

Trey Sanders continues to work through the twists and turns of his recruitment, this past weekend taking a trip to Texas to see the Longhorns thrash USC.

The five-star running back from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy had been committed to Alabama early in his recruitment and it looked like the Crimson Tide was going to add yet another five-star to its already loaded team.

But Sanders backed off that pledge and now it sounds as if Florida could be the school to beat as he’s developed a great relationship with that coaching staff and his brother is a junior college transfer for the Gators. That could be a huge bonus to get the five-star to Gainesville.

But Sanders has now taken multiple visits to Austin, and Texas continues to stick around in his recruitment. Could the Longhorns land the five-star running back from IMG Academy or will Sanders stay in the Southeast?

FIRST TAKE: JASON SUCHOMEL, ORANGEBLOODS.COM

"Sanders is a tough recruit to read because he doesn't talk much, and when he does, he doesn't really tip his hand on where he might be leaning. But he's now taken two visits to Texas – one an unofficial visit over the summer and one an official visit for UT's win over Southern Cal – so that alone would seem to indicate that his interest in the Longhorns is strong.

"Sanders has told other recruits that Texas is very high on his list and given indications behind the scenes that the Longhorns are major players for his commitment. Can Texas hold off the likes of Alabama or Florida in the long run? That's tough to say, and I still favor him staying in the Southeast, but I do think Texas has a shot in this one."

SECOND TAKE: MIKE FARRELL, RIVALS.COM

“A lot of people think it's Florida because his brother is there. It’s good that he’s visited Texas, it’s good that he has a comfort level there. But I think they’re a little bit of a long shot right now. One of the final three isn’t bad but he’s probably going to end up at Florida or re-commit to Alabama.”
