Stanford high on list for Cyburt

Colby Cyburt is not planning to make a decision until the middle of summer at the earliest but after Stanford recently offered the Mission Viejo, Calif., offensive tackle definitely likes the Cardinal and has them in his top three.
"I'm definitely excited about that offer," Cyburt said. "I'm not going to make any kind of decision until at least mid-summer at the earliest but I definitely like that offer. It's going to be one of my top schools for sure.

"Mainly, the academics stand out, being able to get a good education and then playing at the highest level. Just a combination of the two is really the best of both worlds."
Cyburt, who also has USC and Colorado in his top three even though the Trojans haven't offered yet, attended Stanford's recent junior day and said he loved everything about the place. The Cardinal is definitely being strongly considered as his recruitment moves forward.
"I went to their junior day and I really liked it," Cyburt said. "It was really professional. I got a whole campus tour and met all the coaches. They're definitely top three."
Colorado, San Diego State and Harvard have also offered Cyburt, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound prospect who is planning to attend one day of camp at USC this summer.
He's also considering unofficial visits to Colorado and Harvard to check out the campuses which is especially important because both have offered. Other than that, Cyburt is taking things slowly and waiting until the summer to see how things play out.
"I'm thinking about taking a visit to Colorado and I've been in close contact with Harvard and I wouldn't mind taking a visit out there," Cyburt said.
"The only camp I have planned is the USC camp. I'm probably not going to make it to the full camp. I'll probably do just one day."
