The Spring Evaluation Period and on-campus camp season has been wiped out by the coronavirus pandemic. Alexis' incredible speed can only truly be appreciated in person, so the fact that the newly minted four-star prospect didn’t get to work out in front of college coaches this offseason was less than ideal. The South Florida-based speedster is the kind of player that racks up offers on the camp circuit and during spring ball. So while he still has plenty of major college opportunities, it’s clear that Covid-19 robbed him of a couple more. Alexis was one of the surprise standouts at the Rivals Camp Series stop in Miami and looked poised for an absolutely massive summer.

COREY BARNES

Barnes was a player we were ready to invite to the Atlanta Rivals Camp Series, and that could have been his coming out party. His high school hasn’t had a Power 5 player in some time, and he is a receiver that is definitely being overlooked in the state of Georgia. Coastal Carolina recently offered, and he has offers from Kent State, Navy, Tennessee Tech, and many others. He will add more, but those could have come much sooner than later in a regular spring evaluation period. He is a physical wideout with size, strength and the ability to make plays in traffic.

GAMARION CARTER

Carter is a wide receiver who is on many radars, and he was one that would have had a lot of eyes on him this spring. He has great size, he is athletic, he has flashed strong ball skills, and schools wanted to see him in person to evaluate his speed. Offers are in from Charlotte, Miami (Ohio), Tennessee Tech and others, but once his senior film gets out, look for his offer list to grow.

DEANDRE COLEMAN

Coleman plays at Hueytown High in Alabama, and that school the last few years has been handing the ball off a lot to running back Roydell Williams, a 2020 four-star that signed with Alabama. The offense could open up much more this season, and Coleman will be that go-to guy at receiver. He is long, he snatches the ball out of the air, he wins jump-balls, and he is a player that was expected to emerge this spring. His time will come, and he has an offer from Louisiana, and he will add more this season.

ERICK SMITH

Smith, who attends high school in the Florida Panhandle, is a bit out of the way geographically. He also has plenty of people curious about his game because of his 6-foot-4 frame and impressive measurables. Rivals has not seen the big wideout in person in nearly two years and hoped to observe his improvement this spring. His length and solid athleticism would have also spoken to college coaches at on-campus camps, so his recruitment may have caught some momentum in a world without Covid-19. He carries a handful of offers as things stand, but his recruitment could have used the spark that comes with impressive camp outings.
