Potomac (Md.) junior wide receiver Korey Coles may not be the biggest prospect on the field, but he makes good use of the tools he has. At a mere 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds, he runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds and has a vertical leap of 33 inches, and is already attracting the attention of some big-name schools.
Coles has started the past three seasons, and caught 30 passes for 669 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior campaign. He was an all-county selection and was named first team small school all-state. He also runs the 55 meter dash and the 4X100 relay for the track squad.

Boston College, NC State, Virginia, and Marshall are the schools currently recruiting Corey the hardest, and all fit his basic criteria.
“I am looking at the graduation rate and how the players get along with each other,” he said. “I want good facilities too.
“NC State is a school I am really looking at, but BC is telling me about how they have the top graduation rate in the country, so I like them too.” He grew up cheering for Virginia Tech, primarily due the fact that they had his sports idol, Michael Vick, on the team.
“I just loved his football smarts, his ability, everything,” he said. “I try to play like him, and people say I am known for my desire to win and my leadership, just like him.”
Coles camped at Maryland last summer and plans trips to Marshall, Virginia Tech, and back to Maryland this year.
