When Eric Thomas showed up to compete at the Under Armour Big Man competition at IMG Academy last month, he was a virtual unknown in the recruiting world. Thomas had just one offer, courtesy of Colorado State, but not much else along the lines of college football recruiting interest. After battling with some of the country's time offensive linemen at the event and coming away with MVP honors, Thomas showed that he remains a diamond in the rough. Rivals.com caught up with him to talk recruiting, including his offer from the Rams.

IN HIS WORDS

" I think I haven't had enough exposure and not a lot of people have seen my film so I've just been waiting for my opportunity and Colorado State evaluated me and offered me and let me know i had a full scholarship."

Importance of offer: "They came by in the spring and watched us practice and then my coach told me I had an offer from them right after that. It was really good to get that first offer because I had been waiting for it.

Communication since: "They I haven't been out there yet but it's something I would like to do. We have been in touch since they offered me and it's a great opportunity to go play at a good school."

Other camps: "I went to camps at Troy, South Alabama, and a few others. I think Jacksonville State and Middle Tennessee might be close to offering, too. I'm going to try to hit some more camps after the dead period, too."
