SEC Media Days: Star freshmen at Alabama, Mizzou, UK, A&M

HOOVER, Ala. – SEC Media Days continued on Wednesday with players and coaches from Alabama, Missouri, Kentucky and Texas A&M taking center stage. With all four of those programs expected to get contributions from incoming freshmen, Rivals.com surveyed some of the players and coaches about which newcomers have impressed thus far.

“Najee [Harris] is a young player who has a lot of talent and a lot of ability. We're anxious to help him continue to develop an understanding of the offense so that he can make a contribution offensively at the running back position.” – Nick Saban, head coach

“Henry Ruggs looks real good. He’s really fast, he works hard and he’s one of those guys that comes in every day and just wants to play football.” – Calvin Ridley, junior wide receiver

“I’ve known Jerry Juedy since was in middle school so that’s my boy. He’s doing really well, he’s happy and he’s working hard.” – Ridley

“Akial Byers is a kid that we signed from incoming class from Fayetteville along with Taylor Powell. Both were teammates and I think tremendous players … in the offseason -- in the summer workouts, both of those guys stand out in the work they've done.” – Barry Odom, head coach

“O’Shae Clark is a fast little guy and Aubrey Miller from Memphis, he’s going to be good. He works and works and he wants to play and he has a lot of energy so we need that. He’s going to be a good guy.” – J’Mon Moore, junior wide receiver
