Saia getting busy with visits

GEISMAR, La. - The Rivals.com Junior Day at Dutchtown High School this past weekend in Louisiana certainly wasn't tough for offensive guard/center Kevin Saia to attend.
Saia, the Dutchtown senior-to-be, took the short trip to his high school home for the event and says that there was plenty he took from the presentation. Already on the board with his first scholarship offer, the 6-foot-3, 300-pounder says that he's been plenty busy with trips and talking with other schools.

"I've got one offer from Tulane and then a couple of other schools are looking at me like Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Lafayette, and Louisiana-Monroe. Ole Miss and Southern Miss are looking at me too."
Saia says the early offer from Tulane puts that school in good position, but he also has some other schools he's highly interested in.
"If I had to pick a favorite, obviously it would be Tulane because they've offered me," Saia said. "I really like Louisiana Tech and also Ole Miss a lot."
An unofficial visit recently taken was to Mississippi State a couple of weeks ago. However, more trips are upcoming for the talented Louisiana lineman.
"We're going to head to Tulane's junior day I think on (April) 14th and we're probably going to see Louisiana Tech sometime this spring," he said.
The Rivals.com event at his high school is something that he'll take with him as he goes through the recruiting process.
"I liked it because they talked about some of the discrepancies between different kinds of mail and how to act on your visits," Saia said. "He also talked about what it's like to be a center and that's where I'm projected at or at guard. So a lot of the stuff he said is what I've been feeling and going through."
