Offensive guard Brandon Sacco is expected to be one of the top line recruits in New Jersey's Class of 2010. The rising junior from Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep has a lot of upside and is already hearing from colleges.
Sacco, who now claims to be 6-foot-3 and upwards of 250 pounds, has run the 40-yard dash in as fast as 4.98 seconds.
His bench max is 335 pounds and he squats about 450 pounds. Those numbers are just some of the reasons he's a coveted prospect.
"I've been getting mail from Notre Dame and Virginia," Sacco said. "Most of my stuff has been from them. Earlier in the year I was hearing from Boston College and Rutgers, and that's about it.
"I don't really have any favorites. I'm pretty open about where I go. Playing time will be a big factor, I imagine."
Sacco said his technique is one of the best parts of his game.
He also said he may take some trips in the fall but has not yet set anything up yet. Sacco participated at the Ultimate 100 Camp in New Jersey in June as a defensive lineman and that seems to be where his future lies, although he could grow into an offensive guard in time.
