S.C. athlete heads to I-AA
Greenwood (S.C.) quarterback Armanti Edwards has decided to play college football in the Division I-AA Southern Conference.
"I committed to Appalachian State on Wednesday," Edwards said. "I just liked everything about it."

Edwards, who was selected to the South Carolina squad for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas in December, said that the Mountaineers coaching staff is going to give him a chance to play quarterback.
Edwards is athletic enough to play multiple positions.
The 6-foot, 170-pounder had early interest from New Mexico State, among others.
