SMU has started their month of July on a tear and it gets even better today, on July 4.
A day after landing their headlining quarterback piece of their 2025 class, they now add a big offensive tackle to block for him.
Houston (Texas) Lamar four-star offensive tackle Dramodd Odoms is off the board and headed to SMU, he announced on Thursday.
Odoms is the No. 176 overall prospect in the Rivals250 as well as the No. 27 prospect in the state of Texas.
Odoms had a bit slow period in his recruitment, but kicked it back into drive heading into the summer.
Other than SMU, Odoms also took official visit to Purdue, Mississippi State, and Houston.
The relationships built in Dallas were the driving factor for the Mustangs ultimately winning out.
"It's just genuine people at SMU, thats why I like it so much there."
With the addition of Odoms, SMU's 2025 class, which holds 16 commitments, moves up eight spots in the rankings and is now No. 32 in the Recruiting Team Rankings. SMU has six four-star prospects among their haul, including now four Rivals250 prospects.
