Class of 2026 Rivals250 athlete Matt Sieg has two visits down thus far, and another upcoming this weekend. He may add more to his schedule this fall as well.

Sieg visited West Virginia during Week One, Penn State during Week Two and will be at Pittsburgh this weekend for the Panthers' "Backyard Brawl" matchup versus the Mountaineers in Week Three.

The Fort Cherry High School four-star playmaker ranks as the No. 5 player in the state of Pennsylvania, the No. 13 athlete and the No. 191 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle.

Playing through a broken thumb injury early on this season that he suffered in Week Zero, the junior has helped lead the Rangers to a 3-0 record thus far.

Sieg reflected on his visits thus far, and discussed what is next with Rivals.

Of note, West Virginia is the only school recruiting Sieg primarily on the offensive side of the ball as a slot wide receiver. Most schools are recruiting Sieg as a defensive back. He enjoyed his time at WVU a couple of weeks ago, which was a loss for the Mountaineers against Penn State,

"I had a great time at West Virginia," Sieg said. "I enjoyed talking to all the coaches and seeing such a great atmosphere. It's always a great time in Morgantown."

Last weekend, as mentioned, Sieg was in Happy Valley. Penn State narrowly escaped an upset from Bowling Green, ultimately defeating the Falcons by a final score of 34-27. Sieg liked what the Nittany Lions had to offer and plans to return to campus in the near future.

"My Penn State visit was great as well," Sieg explained. "They definitely treated my family and me as a priority and I can’t wait to get back there."

This weekend, Sieg will stay in the state and take a trip to Ariscurse Stadium to watch Pittsburgh battle West Virginia in an intense rivalry game.

"I’m looking forward to getting around the Pitt staff and seeing a great game with a good atmosphere," he said.

While Sieg doesn't have any other visit plans set in stone quite yet, he is in the process of talking with his parents to schedule trips to Wisconsin and Missouri.

Sieg has 17 scholarship offers in total thus far, and most recently picked up an offer from Iowa. Multiple Power Four schools are in the mix.

As for a commitment date, Sieg is taking things slowly and letting his recruiting process play out.

"I don’t have a commitment timeline in mind," Sieg explained. "I feel that I’ll know when I’m ready and we’ll see when that may be."
