Rivals100 RB out for year

The rash of injuries to star players at Tampa Jefferson is starting to become an epidemic. Just a week after losing Rivals100 offensive linemen Donnie Woods to an ACL injury, Jefferson is now going to have to play the rest of the season without all-purpose back Rashaun Grant.

"I'm out for the rest of the season," Grant said. "I broke my left ankle. Well, really it's only dislocated. But it popped out and then back in and there is a small fracture."
Grant said the injury was one of those freak things that happen.
"A guy from the other team just rolled up on it," he said. "It really doesn't hurt, but I'm very upset that I can't play the rest of the season."
Grant said that the injury probably won't accelerate his decision, but he did say he's lined up three official visits.
"I'm going to Miami on December 13," he said. "I'm going to Florida and Georgia Tech in January. I'm not 100 percent about those dates but I think Florida is on January 10 and Georgia Tech is on January 17."
Grant said after that the other two trips are open between tams like Auburn, Florida State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Northwestern and others.
He said Miami is the only school that has called him so far to talk to him about his injury.
"That was really nice of them," he said. "That's one reason why they're No. 1 on my list."
