Notre Dame continues to build an impressive group of offensive linemen with the addition of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Rivals100 offensive tackle Robert Hainsey.
IN HIS OWN WORDS…
"I think it’s a combination of everything I could do besides football," Hainsey said. "The coaches are great, I feel at home, they have great football there, and after football I’ll great opportunities for whatever I want to do.
"I want to major in business," he said. "They have a really good business school where I can make a lot of connections. I think it could do a lot for me.
"I will definitely learn a lot from coach Hiestand," said Hainsey. "He’s a really good coach. I’ve watched his practice a couple times and he really knows what he’s doing.
"As far as getting on the field early, it depends on what I do," he said. "Obviously, I’m going to do my best and I’m an early enrollee so that should help. Other than that, it’s really about how well I execute and how fast I pick up the offense."
RIVALS' REACTION
Over the past few years Notre Dame has been putting together an outstanding offensive line unit. With Hainsey joining four-star Joshua Lugg and three-star Dillan Gibbons in the 2017 recruiting class, the Fighting Irish are poised once again to have one of the best offensive line classes in this recruiting cycle.
