Rivals100 DB AJ Lytton announces his commitment to Florida State

Florida State is well on their way to building another exceptional defensive back recruiting class with the commitment of Rivals100 cornerback AJ Lytton. The Seminoles have been the Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise star's dream school.

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"I like the coaching staff and the campus," Lytton said. "The coaching staff is like family and I just feel very comfortable down there.

"Me and Ronald Darby work with the same defensive back trainer," he said. "We’ve talked a lot about Florida State.

"The coaches said I would be playing some nickel and outside cornerback," said Lytton. They also said they want to try to get me some time on offense too.

"I like the dorms where the players stay, the facilities, and where they take their classes," he said. Everything is close together. I feel like I could stay focused there."

RIVALS' REACTION

Lytton is a true cover cornerback with great speed, footwork, and instincts. The Seminoles are stock-piling talented defensive backs and continue to recruit the Mid-Atlantic at an impressive rate. Lytton's versatility and athleticism should be useful in other phases of the game as well. He is dangerous with the ball in his hands so look for Florida State to use him on special teams and possibly on offense in passing situations or for gadget plays.
