The Rivals rankings have been updated and, as usual, the debates have begun. These aren’t just limited to fans, however, as Rivals analysts also have different opinions on any number of issues. Today, Rivals National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell and Southeast analyst Rob Cassidy square off in a debate about the top receiver in the Sunshine State. Farrell pledges his support to Alabama commit Jacorey Brooks while Cassidy rides with uncommitted five-star Mario Williams.

ROB CASSIDY: Mario Williams
Brooks is an incredible player and probably has a higher ceiling than Williams based on measurables alone. That said, Williams is more explosive and is miles more consistent. He’s also more polished when it comes to running routes. Williams, who can line up all over, brings more versatility than Brooks. Both are likely to shine at the college level, but Williams seems like the safest bet to me.
MIKE FARRELL: Jacorey Brooks
This is a tough call because I like both Williams and Brooks but I’d say Brooks has the higher ceiling overall with better size and a better catch radius. I also think he’s a more lethal red zone threat and can work the sidelines well. Both are great but bigger is better, right?
