DE DAVID HICKS (No. 3 overall}

"David Hicks was stellar last season for Katy (Texas) Morton Ranch and he took his game to new heights this spring and summer. Hicks put on clinics at LSU, Miami, Ohio State and more, showcasing his ability to dominate inside as well as off the edge. He's explosive off the line with massive power and made a dent against elite competition coast-to-coast.

"Hicks, who will play for former SMU and Arkansas coach Chad Morris at Allen High this fall, learned from his father, a former collegiate defensive lineman at Grambling and in the NFL." - Sam Spiegelman, National Recruiting Analyst

OT KADYN PROCTOR (No. 5 overall)

"Proctor is 6-foot-8, 335-pounds, a dominant run and pass blocker and it's hard to believe he still has two more years of high school football left. The new five-star does an excellent job using power in run blocking where he can move anyone where he wants them or put them on the ground and then in pass blocking, Proctor moves his feet so well, he looks light and then no one can get around him to the edge. That mix of power, athleticism, toughness and agility makes Proctor the best offensive tackle in the 2023 class.

"Notre Dame, Ohio State, Alabama, Iowa and Iowa State have all piqued Proctor's interest this summer but other schools like Clemson, Florida and others could get visits in the fall as well. His teammate, four-star safety Xavier Nwankpa, is high on the Buckeyes and the Irish in particular and that could sway Proctor one way or another but the new five-star offensive tackle said he's going to make his own decision." ATH ALEX STYLES (No. 6 overall)

"We started hearing about Styles before his high school career began, but only got the first glimpses of him last year when an injury wiped out his freshman season. He broke out in a nationally televised game last fall with an interception and blocked punt for a touchdown, then proved to be a uniquely athletic jumbo defender at off-season camps, including the Indianapolis Rivals Camp.

"If that was not enough, Styles is also collecting Division I offers in basketball. No matter where he ends up on the defensive side of the ball, though, Styles has five-star potential on the gridiron. His recruitment is perceived as a battle between Ohio State, where his father starred in the 1990s – and Notre Dame, which signed Styles’ older brother in the 2021 class. He made a Southern swing of schools in the ACC and SEC this summer, however, that included stops at Alabama, Florida State and LSU." Josh Helmholdt, National Recruiting Analyst
