Salyer’s initial punch is devastating and if a defensive lineman happens to get under it then the top-rated offensive guard has excellent footwork as well. The four-star absolutely dominates inside and he’s so massive that it’s nearly impossible to overpower him. He had a phenomenal performance. Georgia, Clemson, Alabama and others are involved.
Cook was outstanding in drills and then phenomenal in one-on-ones where no linebacker could keep up with him. He showed off excellent hands making big-time catches. He doesn’t have the size of his brother, Dalvin, yet, but the five-star has that burst and playmaking ability. Florida State could use him in different ways but another Cook will be making big things happen in Tallahassee soon.
Marshall is one of the top handful of wide receivers in the 2018 class and it’s because of his outstanding length and vertical game. The high four-star can out-jump and out-reach smaller cornerbacks and makes great contested catches. LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and TCU are some early favorites and Marshall can be a main outside target in any of those offenses.
Ross makes all kinds of catches – tough ones down the sidelines, ones where he needs to catch up to overthrown balls – and he does a great job grabbing the ball out front with his hands and not letting it get into his body. The four-star likes Auburn and Alabama most and he could be a guy on the outside who could go deep and make a ton of big catches.
Watkins is not a big receiver but there was nobody faster than him on a straight line at the Future 50. He’s dynamic, goes deep and has excellent hands and makes tough catches. The Florida State commit could be this year’s version of Seminoles commit D.J. Matthews – a small receiver who could move around and break big plays all the time.
For a 2020 prospect, Bailey showed a lot of poise and had a great feel for how fast receivers were running routes and how defensive backs were breaking on the ball. He placed the ball really well, firing it when he needed to and putting some touch on passes to let receivers run under it. Florida, Alabama and Tennessee are some schools that stand out early but Bailey should be able to go wherever he wants in a few years.
Jones throws an effortless deep ball and showed a lot of control, placing it right where the receivers needed it especially during one-on-ones. The Ohio State commit will have his fair share of outstanding receivers to throw to in Columbus and with his running ability the Buckeyes’ offense should have no problem moving down the field quickly.
Walker has long arms, a great frame, he moves his feet well and the No. 3 offensive tackle routinely steers defensive linemen to the outside. What else can anyone ask for? Walker resembles and plays just like Quinton Spain, the second-best offensive guard in the 2010 class. Oklahoma is getting a good one in Walker and in the Big 12 he should have his way along the offensive line.
Gouraige is a lean offensive tackle still growing into his body, which reminds us of former Florida offensive lineman Ian Silberman. The four-star has good arm extension and he’s surprisingly physical and aggressive and that should continue once he puts on more weight. He can run and pass block so Georgia, Ohio State and others involved in his recruitment would be great fits.
The best thing about Daniels’ game is the 2019 quarterback almost always puts the ball only where his receivers could get it. A few times, defensive backs came over and tipped it away but Daniels is so accurate usually it’s right to his receivers, right where it’s supposed to be. Notre Dame is definitely a front-runner along with Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Michigan and others but Daniels is wide open.
Williams worked underneath, he worked the sidelines and then he went deep and beat defensive backs on the long ball plus he showed off excellent hands all day. The four-star reminds us of a bigger Isaiah McKenzie at Georgia – a big-time playmaker who can do lots of everything. Alabama, Clemson and the Florida schools are all involved.
Preston is another outstanding receiver from Texas, smooth as can be and someone who can set up defensive backs on short routes or go long to make big plays. Oklahoma and Texas A&M are the two front-runners and it’s no surprise since Preston is a playmaker who should thrive in a wide-open, fast-paced offense.
