Buzz: In Stoops' first full-year back on the Oklahoma staff, he made his presence felt in a big way. He went outside of normal Sooners recruiting areas and secured the signatures of Fresno (Calif.) Central East Rivals250 teammates Hatari Byrd and L.J. Moore, and he was the lead recruiter for Tulsa (Okla.) East Central Rivals250 standout Stanvon Taylor. In addition to his Rivals250 additions, he went to Miami (Fla.) Central to grab three-star Ahmad Thomas, who committed to Stoops over Notre Dame, Auburn and Florida State before he ever made a visit to Norman. Then, on the final weekend before signing day, he extended an invitation to Dakota Austin to round out his defensive back class.

Buzz: Bedenbaugh led the way for several of the Mountaineers' priority targets, and on signing day West Virginia reaped the rewards. His presence was strong in Ohio, where he secured the services of two four-star prospects. The offensive line coach was the primary recruiter for class headliner and Rivals250 wide receiver Shelton Gibson out of Cleveland Heights, beating out several top programs for his services. Then he moved over to Dayton for four-star linebacker Darrien Howard. He also landed Grant Lingafelter out of Ohio, and he went into New Jersey and Maryland for the services of Marcell Lazard and Stone Underwood. He also had a presence in Texas as he was charged with gaining the signature of Tyler Tezeno.
Buzz: Coach Charlie Weis wanted to make a big splash in the JUCO ranks, and Blasko was the man he charged with leading the way. In his first full year as an assistant, he did not disappoint. The Jayhawks signed a huge class of JUCO prospects. He was the guy behind landing the talents of Marquel Combs and Marcus Jenkins-Moore out of Woodland Hills (Calif.) Pierce CC. When he was not mining the JC ranks, he spent a little time in Hawaii, where he grabbed three-star linebacker Colton Goeas.
Buzz: The Bears' wide receivers coach has made it clear there is more than one Briles in Waco, and he is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the up-and-coming recruiters in the Big 12. Briles got Baylor on Robbie Rhodes before anyone else, and after the Fort Worth (Texas) Southwest standout's stock went through the roof he beat out Texas, Texas Tech and TCU for his services. Briles also took the lead on Vequan Jones out of Wylie East, and he got Katy athlete Kyle Fulks early in the process. He played a part in landing three-star offensive lineman Maurice Porter.
Buzz: Haverty has the rare honor of being able to say he recruited for two Big 12 coaching staffs during the 2013 recruiting cycle. He began his work with TCU, where he led the way for three-star linebackers Dac Shaw and Paul Whitmill. In December, he returned to his alma mater as a member of Kliff Kingsbury's coaching staff. He helped the Red Raiders close strong as the primary recruiter for three-star Gary Moore and the three-star Lithonia (Ga.) Martin Luther King trio of Jacarthy Mack, Joshua Outlaw and D.J. Polite-Bray.
Buzz: Jennings played a key role in reeling in three cornerbacks for the Frogs -- Steve Wesley, Ranthony Texada and Cydney Calvin. His ability to establish relationships with them early helped TCU come away with a solid corps of defensive backs, which was perhaps the Frogs' strongest position for the 2013 class. Although these next two guys didn't sign with TCU, Jennings' ability to develop relationships with Justin Manning and Daeshon Hall allowed the Frogs to stay in the picture for both four-stars until their decision dates.
Buzz: In a class light on numbers, Searels led the way or played a vital role in securing an offensive line class that headlines the Texas group of 15. He gained a late commitment from red-hot Rami Hammad, who before committing to the Longhorns was committed to Baylor, and Searels played a strong role in landing Rivals100 members Darius James and Kent Perkins. He even helped kick the class off with a bang, landing Rivals250 standout Jake Raulerson, who can play offensive or defensive line.
Buzz: Early in the process, Spencer dipped into Texas for defensive tackle Vincent Taylor. After being named defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, he secured the services of defensive end Vili Leveni from the Lone Star State. He grabbed the signature of JC defensive tackle Ofa Hautau late in the process. Spencer also made his presence felt in Georgia, where he wooed Naim Mustafaa away from the Georgia Bulldogs, as well as adding cornerback Darius Curry.
Buzz: Wright led the way for a solid group of defensive ends. The Sooners knew they had a need at the position and immediately set their sights on Oklahoma's top-ranked prospect, D.J. Ward. Wright secured the commitment early in the process, and Ward never wavered. Wright locked onto Katy's Matt Dimon early, and when the Longhorns came calling on the defensive standout late in the process, Wright was there to fend them off. Then there is Ogbonnia Okoronkwo out of Alief (Texas) Taylor, whom the Sooners swayed from Oklahoma State.
Buzz: Wyatt helped put the Longhorns in the mix for several top prospects and was a big reason they initially landed the commitment of five-star defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson, who went on to sign with Alabama. Wyatt took the lead on offensive tackle Kent Perkins and wide receivers Jake Oliver and Jacorey Warrick. Late in the process, he brought in sleeper receiver Montrel Meander out of West Texas.
