MORE RCS N.J.: Prospects now on the radar | Players who earned their stripes | Five teams that should be pleased | The Friedman awards | Thoughts from the sideline
SOMERSET, N.J. -- The Rivals 3 Stripe Camp presented by adidas in New Jersey was filled with talented prospects that will be spreading their wings to play all across the college football map. We chatted with several of the committed players about how their respective future schools will fare on the recruiting trail. Each prospect gave their pick on who might be the next to join them as a commit in the coming weeks and months.
NOTRE DAME
The pick: Chris Tyree
Why: “I’m really hoping for Tyree, obviously. I’ve been talking to him and he’s a great player obviously. Last time I saw him, I gave him the pitch. I actually gave him a pair of shoes I had, too. I had a pair of shoes with me that happened to be, like, Notre Dame color and they happened to be his size, so I gave them to him. Dedication, right?” -- Notre Dame quarterback commit Drew Pyne
OHIO STATE
The pick: Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka or Landon Tengwall
Why: “I’ve been going after Marvin Harrison Jr. pretty hard and Emeka (Egbuka) from Washington is a big-time dude. I haven’t met him yet but I’m looking forward to it. I’m also talking to Landon Tengwall and a few other guys.” -- 2021 Ohio State quarterback commit Kyle McCord
PENN STATE
The pick: Julian Fleming
Why: “I’m hoping it’s him --- hoping. He’s big time. I’m trying with him. I’m not quite sure when he’s going to make his choice. Maybe not that soon? It’s hard to know.” -- Penn State offensive line commit Nicholas Dawkins
TEXAS A&M
The pick: Isaiah Raikes
Why: “I want him to commit down there soon. I'm trying to get him. Coach E knows all of us.” -- Rivals250 Texas A&M defensive end commit Fadil Diggs
UMASS
The pick: Cole Finney
Why: “I’m hoping we get Cole Finney. He’s been up there a lot and I’ve been talking to him a lot.” -- Three-star UMass quarterback commit Brady Martin
