He caught everybody’s attention really quickly when he ran a 4.4 second 40-yard dash. Wake Forest and East Carolina have offered the Jacksonville, N.C. standout and he’s visited both programs already. He is also hearing from Duke and South Carolina.

Herndon made the trip to the combine from way out in western Virginia and impressed enough to make it back for the camp tomorrow. Virginia and Virginia Tech have shown a lot of interest in the in-state offensive linemen and the Cavs have hosted him for a game already. Look for Herndon to do camps at Virginia Tech and Wake Forest over the next couple months.

Wake Forest and East Carolina have been showing a lot of interest in Poole. The linebacker ran the 40-yard dash and short shuttle in 4.6 seconds and the coaches are taking a hard look at him. Poole visited Wake Forest for their junior day a few weeks ago and wants to get back to both schools along with NC State and North Carolina. The Wake Forest and East Carolina coaches are staying in touch with him and building a relationship.

Schofield earned his invite after a strong day of testing for a player his size. Schofield has taken visits to North Carolina, Coastal Carolina and Georgia State with the programs likely to return to watch him workout this spring. Schofield is also likely to camp with several programs this summer.

Robbins as he clocked one of the fastest 40-yard dash times of the day with a 4.41. Robbins has visited several programs, including North Carolina, in recent months but is still waiting on his first offer. He grew up rooting for the Tar Heels and is hoping to earn an offer at camp this summer.

Davis has competed at the Rivals adizero Combine two weeks in a row, and the 2021 defensive lineman out of Wagener (S.C.) has earned an invite to Sunday's camp. The 6-foot-3, 254-pound sophomore has played defensive end and tight end, but will work at defensive line Sunday. He recently visited Coastal Carolina. Davis grew up an SEC fan, liking Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

McKithen came out blazing in Charlotte. He’s up from Savannah (Ga.) New Hamstead, and he turned in impressive 40 yard dash times of 4.48 and 4.56 seconds. Right after the combine, he visited Charlotte,so he is on the 49ers’ radar. Multiple family members attended South Carolina, so that is McKithen’s dream school. As a junior, he scored 12 touchdowns.

Jones created a buzz as soon as he walked in. He’s a 6-foot-3, 270-pound powerful offensive lineman out of Abbeville (S.C.) and he showed good agility when testing. Jones already has offers from Coastal Carolina, Elon, Furman, Georgia State and West Carolina. He is also drawing interest from Georgia Southern.
