Riddering ponders staying home

Kyle Riddering realizes Fresno State offers him something no other school can - the opportunity to play in front of a home crowd.
That should play a big factor as the Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North athlete works out his recruitment and since the Bulldogs were his first offer it's definitely something serious to consider.

"They have something that no one else could really offer," Riddering said. "To stay at home and play in front of my family and my home crowd that would be an amazing experience.
"The coaches are really great guys and I think it would be a really great school."
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound prospect has talked with some other schools including Colorado State and he's received some preliminary interest from Pac-12 teams early on but he has not scheduled any official visits yet.
The Clovis North recruit basically wants to wait until after his senior season to focus on recruiting, knowing the whole time Fresno State is a serious option and he wants to see if others get involved in the coming months.
"I don't have anything planned yet," Riddering said. "I'm going to focus on the season and then worry about visits later on."
Taking trips will probably be a part of Riddering's recruitment but he could end up down the road playing for Fresno State.
Staying home is not an issue at all for the Clovis North recruit but before any decisions are made he wants to see how things play out.
"It's definitely not something I want to shy away from," Riddering said. "I'm not going to hurry out of Fresno. I'm going to weigh all my options and make sure I make the best decision for me."
