Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler running back Richard Rich has remained wide open throughout the recruiting process, but now he has his list whittled down to five schools. Well unless, his dream school offers, then he says he could make more room.

“I have a visit set up with NC State for December 3, Minnesota for December 17 and Auburn for January 21,” Rich said. “I am also going to take visits to North Carolina and Wisconsin, but I don’t have a date yet. One will probably be on December 10 and the other one in January sometime.”

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Rich ran an impressive 4.44 second 40-yard dash at the Atlanta NIKE combine.

“Those are my final five schools for now I guess,” Rich said. “If Miami offered though, I’d have to make room for them. All of those five are even right now. I plan on taking all of my visits before I commit any where.”

As a junior Rich carried the ball 196 times for 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns with an average of 7.6 yards per carry.

“This weekend I may end up going to the Georgia-Georgia Tech game, but I haven’t decided yet for sure,” Rich said.
