Newnan, Ga., offensive/defensive lineman Sergio Render was once set to spend the next four years in Tallahassee playing for the Noles as an offensive lineman. Recently he had a change of heart what position he wants to play, which re-opened his recruitment.

“I have not set up any new official visits yet,” Render said. “I know that Arkansas, Ole Miss and South Carolina will all get official visits for sure. Right now I would say that my favorite is still Virginia Tech though.”
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Render ran the 40-yard dash in 5.22 seconds at the Atlanta NIKE camp and boasts a ridiculous 400-pound bench press and 500-pound squat.
“What lead me to de-commit from Florida State is that I just really want to play defense,” Render said. “I won’t say that Florida State is totally out of it. If they would let me play defense I would still be committed there. I understand their point and they understand mine. They have still been recruiting me just as hard as ever though.”
Rivals.com still projects Render as a center at this point and rates him as the nation’s sixth best at the position.
“I will take all of my official visits before I make any kind of decision,” Render said. “I like Virginia Tech a lot, but I want to make 100-percent sure about where I want to go when I make a commitment this time.”
