>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CLEVELAND - Prospects from across the Midwest made their way to Fairview High School in Cleveland for the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour. There were those who were expected to shine bright who did just that, and others who emerged from deeper in the pack to impress. Along the way, several key takeaways surfaced.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Michigan represents>>>>>>>>>>

>>> Michigan native Donovan Peoples-Jones won WR/TE MVP.>>>>Prospects from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Iowa, but no state was as well represented as Michigan. The Great Lakes State took home four of the seven position MVPs and several more prospects from the state were standout performers.
> >>>>Michigan was led by wide receiver/tight end MVP Donovan Peoples-Jones, defensive back MVP LaVert Hill, linebacker MVP Daelin Hayes, and defensive line MVP Bryce Brand. All were tops at their position with several other Michigan natives also in the conversation for top honors.
>>>> >>>>Pushing Peoples-Jones were receivers Donnie Corley, Hunter Rison and Kahlee Hamler. Hill had to fend off Ambry Thomas and Donovan Johnson for honors at defensive back. Hayes separated from the pack for linebackers honors but Tim Walton and Armani Posey also had strong showings. Brand was pushed by Michael Onwenu and Lawrence Gordon.
>>>> >>>>There were others, but the picture is clear and Michigan definitely had a statement day in Cleveland.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Double Duty>>>>>>>>>>Detroit Cass Tech Rivals250 standout Michael Onwenu also made a statement.
>>>>>>>>He showed his strength at both offensive guard and defensive tackle, and he proved to be a tough load for most opposition.
>>>> >>>>The 6-foot-2, 320-pound lineman worked most of the day at offensive guard and while he is currently ranked at defensive tackle, a case could definitely be made for a move to the offensive side of the ball. He was the strongest of the offensive linemen and often overwhelmed with his initial punch. He also showed some nice feet, and at the end he came up just shy of winning offensive line MVP honors.
>>> Messiah deWeaver capped a busy week with QB MVP honors>>>>>>Huber Hieights (Ohio) Wayne quarterback Messiah deWeaverClick target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank"> target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">On the defensive line he came off the ball low and has a quick first step. His ability to get and maintain leverage on his opponent was just as impressive on defense as it was on offense and overall he proved to be one of the more impressive performers regardless of position. target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">deWeaver Deliverstarget="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">Here to view this Link. has been a busy man over the past few days.
>>>> >>>>On Wednesday, DeWeaver chose Michigan State over Kentucky, Penn State, Mississippi State, and Louisville, and he went right to work. One of deWeaver's first priorities was helping the Spartans build their 2016 recruiting class. He made his way to East Lansing for the Spartans spring game to do just that.
>>>> >>>>It is safe to say he has already made an impact with the commitments of Abdul Adams, Justin Layne and Joe Bachie to Michigan State in the last couple of days.
>>>> >>>>To cap off the week DeWeaver then took home quarterback MVP honors at the Cleveland Rivals Camp Series, where he was able to play pass and catch with receivers Donovan Peoples-Jones, Donnie Corley, and Hunter Rison.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Skills Steal Spotlight>>>>>>>>>>The expectations were high for the wide receivers and the defensive backs as all eyes turned toward Cleveland. Both were stacked full of top notch talent and neither side disappointed.
>>>> >>>>Wide receiver MVP Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rivals100 receiver Donnie Corley both excelled throughout the day with acrobatic receptions and quick and crisp routes. On the other side of the ball, LaVert Hill recorded four interceptions during one-on-one drills.
>>> >>>> Jake Heinrich traveled 10 hours to attend Sunday's Rivals Camp.>>>>Urbandale (Iowa) three-star offensive lineman Jake HeinrichClick target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank"> target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">There was depth on both sides of the ball and the competition was strong on both sides. It was a true win-win for everyone. target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">Long road rewards Heinrichtarget="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">target="_blank">Here to view this Link. made a 10-hour drive to Cleveland to participate in the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour, and he made the most of his journey.
>>>> >>>>The 6-4, 285-pound standout took home offensive MVP honors for his technical play. He was not the strongest but he was the most technically sound. He also showed very nice flexibility and footwork and has the frame to add some nice weight to over the next few years.
>>>> >>>>It was easy to see he has strong fundamentals and has a nice athletic framework.
>>>> >>>>Heinrich fought off several top prospects to earn the well deserved nod as the top offensive line performer. Then he hit the road back to Iowa to continue working on his craft and honing his skills. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
