R100 WR Mitchell recaps Michigan, OSU visits

Rivals100 wide receiver Ahmir Mitchell was among the many visitors from New Jersey that made the trip to Ohio State and Michigan. The Egg Harbor City (N.J.) Cedar Creek star has Rutgers leading his top six but there is a chance Michigan and Ohio State could have made a move up the list.
"They both went very well," said the 6-foot-2, 197-pound Mitchell. "I had a very good time with coaches and figuring out where I would find in their systems and schemes.

"At Ohio State I met a lot of the players and they had great things to say which was great," he said. "Some times the players are very truthful when the coaches aren't around. Talking with Ezekiel Elliott, Joey Bosa and some of the key players there were saying good things about it.
"The practice showed a lot about how they run things," Mitchell said. "There was a lot of energy there. You could feel the energy and the great National Championship atmosphere.
"Well I like how everything was really relevant, everything had a great college feel and not too spread out," he said. "Columbus is a great city and a lot of people show a lot of love to the players, which is outstanding. It's just a great feel being a football player at Ohio State."
Mitchell's visit to Michigan sounded very good as well.
"The coaching staff at Michigan showed that I'm a priority for the 2016 class along with the other recruits that were there with me," said Mitchell. "They really showed us a lot and were talking about they system that Brad Hawkins Jr. and I would be in. They showed us some film of the Jaguars and how it translates to the Michigan system and where Brad and I would fit. It was a different point of view and they did some things different than a lot of other schools. It was interesting and it was great meeting coach Harbaugh and the rest of the coaches. It was exciting.
"On campus, everything was relatively close," he said. "I spent some time with Jabrill Peppers and some other players walking around campus. They were just showing us everything. I like how everything is close there. It was a great college feel. They showed us the academic part of it and value of the degree I would get from Michigan is something I'm interested in. It was a great visit."
Mitchell's time at Ohio State and Michigan could lead to big changes to his top six of Rutgers, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and Michigan.
"Nothing has changed as of now but I really am feeling Ohio State and Michigan so things could change but as of now no changes have been made," Mitchell said. "I would like to take the rest of my visits before I change anything or move the order around. We are all planning some visits but we aren't sure where we'll be going.
Visits to Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Ole Miss are in Mitchell's future but there could be some other schools Mitchell visits.
"I'm open to visiting other schools like Alabama, Florida State or Florida," he said. "We have some choices to make. It will be a busy month for us all. I won't be committing any time soon. Once my five official visits are over I 'll figure out a date when I'll commit."
As a junior, Mitchell gained 872 yards on 47 catches and scored 12 touchdowns. Defensively, he made 37 tackles and had one interception.
