HOOVER, Ala. - Four-star linebacker Ayodele Adeoye verbally committed to Texas in June and even though he's taken a couple visits to other schools, he says he's still 100-percent committed to the Longhorns.

Rivals.com caught up with Adeoye after IMG Academy's win over Hoover on Friday night to get the latest on his senior year and expectations for the 2018 season at Texas.

Krysten Peek: How has your senior season been after transferring to IMG?

Ayodele Adeoye: Coming here to IMG has been a great opportunity for me. The biggest adjustment was just learning the playbook versus just playing football without a lot of structure. The first game was a little bit of a setback for me since I broke my hand. This is my second game back but it feels good to be back out here.

KP: You’re committed to Texas; is that commitment 100 percent?

AA: Yes, I’m 100-percent committed to Texas.

KP: How’s your relationship with the coaching staff there?

AA: I mostly just deal with coach Todd Orlando and we’ve had a good relationship since day one. Of course he recruited my brother a few years back so I’ve known him for a while.

KP: I know you’re 100-percent committed to Texas but you’re still taking some visits. You were at Oklahoma recently; how was that visit?

AA: The Oklahoma visit was good. I went with great people and got to talk to a lot of the staff but like I said, I’m still 100-percent committed to Texas.

KP: Any particular reason why you’re still taking visits then?

AA: To me it’s not that big of a deal if I want to go visit another school. It’s just a visit.

KP: You took an unofficial visit to Florida and its head coach was just fired. Have they been in contact at all?

AA: I talked to coach (Tim) Skipper a couple weeks ago but I haven’t talked to him since the coaching change. Coach Skip just checks in once in a while so I’m not too concerned with it.

KP: As it stands right now, Texas has 13 four-stars coming in next year. What are your expectations for the 2018 season?

AA: We plan on coming in next year and winning the Big 12. It’s just straight to the point. I don’t have any other expectations outside that. I want to impact the team right away as a freshman.
