This 2019 class was shaping up to be Purdue’s best in more than a decade, but that status was depending on the ability of the University to keep Jeff Brohm as the head coach. With Wednesday’s announcement that Brohm would be staying in West Lafayette, members of that 2019 class were understandably pleased.

PURDUE'S 2019 COMMITMENT LIST

“It’s just awesome! A feeling of reassurance! (The commits) are all pumped!”

"Very excited to hear that he is staying and can't wait to get on campus and try to win a Big Ten Championship"

“I have been watching it very closely. Trying not to get caught up in all the chatter on social media. We commits have been communicating and have been supporting each other through it all. Knowing that today was the deadline for an answer it was pretty tense all day. When I finally saw Coach Brohm’s decision on Twitter it was an answer to prayer!”

"I never thought he was leaving in the first place. I know Louisville is home for him, but I think he still has some unfinished business at Purdue he wants to get done."

“Coach Brohm just demonstrated all the qualities that drew me to wanting to play for him. He honors his commitments. Makes me even more proud of the decision we made.”

"(It) feels good. He's the only coach during my entire process who said I was (a five-star) recruit. Really believe the way they had me rated I was under the radar. Good for Purdue. I couldn't be happier."

“I wasn’t surprised and didn’t pay much attention to the media.”
