Plenty of interest for South Florida CB

Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic Community defensive back prospect Jon Lejiste still is waiting on his first scholarship offer, but there are a number of BCS Conference programs showing major interest in the speedy South Florida athlete.
"I don't have any offers yet," Lejiste said. "LSU is showing me the most interest right now. "Northwestern, Duke, Miami and South Carolina also showing me interest."

Tigers assistant coach and Palm Beach County recruiter D.J. McCarthy is recruiting Lejiste for LSU.
"He's a great guy," Lejiste said. "They told me so far that they want me to play cornerback at LSU. They want me to try to get up there in the summer for a camp and see if I could make that."
The Blue Devils and Wildcats also have been showing plenty of attention.
"Duke is pretty close to offering me," he said. "Northwestern said they are going to try to get me one soon."
Miami has been involved with Lejiste and invited the 6-foot-1, 191-pounder to its spring game last weekend.
"I was supposed to go up there, but transportation was an issue," he said.
South Carolina also has been in touch.
"They have been sending me letters and they talked to my coach and said they are pretty interested in me."
Lejiste, who has a confirmed 4.44-second 40-yard dash time, recently tested himself against some of the best athletes in the Southeast at the Miami NIKE Camp on April 1 in Coral Gables, Fla.
"I could have done better (at the camp)," he said. "I am trying to get better at the corner position because I played a lot of safety."
