Pittman talks commitment

Michael Pittman flipped his commitment from UCLA to USC before his senior season and he likes the direction of the Trojans.
But USC fired coach Steve Sarkisian during the season and the head coaching position is still unclear moving forward.

The four-star receiver from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian said he hopes interim coach Clay Helton and position coach Tee Martin stay on the coaching staff but nothing is sure at this point.
"I think SC has a great coach," Pittman said. "They have coach Tee, they have coach Helton at head coach and I really hope he stays head coach because he's doing a great job.
"I like the connections they have with the players and the stuff they do. What the other players have told me like JuJu (Smith), Su'a (Cravens) and (Adoree') Jackson, it's just listening to those guys because you want to get to that level.
"Nothing is secure with USC yet so of course you have to have a plan. That's how I'm taking it."
That means Pittman is still considering an official visit to UCLA but nothing is scheduled yet. The four-star has taken an unofficial trip to Westwood recently and he said the UCLA coaching staff continues to heavily pursue him.
"They want me to take an official visit and I haven't set a date yet but that might or might not happen," Pittman said.
As for his USC official trip, the Oaks Christian standout said he's planning to take it during the UCLA game weekend later this month.
