Oliver names three standouts

Ed Oliver has three favorites early in his recruitment and the Houston (Texas) Westfield prospect said distance from home is definitely playing a factor at this point.
LSU, TCU and Baylor are the top three for the four-star defensive tackle and he said last week at the Elite 50 Experience in Orlando that even with defensive coordinator John Chavis leaving the Tigers for Texas A&M that it's still one of his top teams.

"That's just been my school since I was little," Oliver said. "When a dream comes true, sometimes you just have to make it come true."
Oliver said he was thoroughly impressed with TCU's convincing bowl victory over Ole Miss and he loved watching the defense dominate. The Horned Frogs are making an impression for sure.
"What I've seen I like their offense and their defense held them to zero," Oliver said. "The turnover got them three points but you can't put that on the defense."
Early on, Oliver has developed a strong relationship with Baylor defensive line coach Chris Achuff and the four-star said that could play a big factor in his decision.
"I like the defensive line coach," Oliver said. "He came to the school and he had a nice conversation with me. He's a really humble dude. He's not into all the publicity stuff. He's just a good dude."
It has become pretty clear that the Houston Westfield prospect is mainly focused on those three schools especially since he wants to take unofficial visits there this spring.
A wild card in his recruitment could be Houston since his brother, Marcus, plays there and Oliver said staying closer to home is his preference.
"They have the new head coach from Ohio State so most definitely I'll look into Houston," Oliver said.
Rated as the fifth-best defensive tackle and the 42 prospect in the 2016 rankings by Rivals.com, Oliver finished with 84 tackles and seven sacks this season.
