OL Hedstrom talks latest recruiting news

Mount Prospect, Ill. three star ranked offensive lineman recruit Eric Hedstrom (6-foot-6, 265 pounds) began his basketball season this morning at 6:15AMCST, yet Hedstrom is still plenty focused on his football recruiting.
“I start basketball on Monday at 6:15 in the morning," Hedstrom said. "It actually feels pretty good to get back on the court, it has definitely helped me get past my senior season in football."

Hedstrom has added a few additional scholarship offers.
"I've received scholarship offers from both Michigan State and Navy. Vanderbilt has really started to show more and more interest and they could be close to offering me soon. Minnesota has also picked things up and they have requested some senior tape."
Hedstrom, who has already made official visits to both Purdue and Northwestern this fall, could wind up taking his final three official visits.
"I'm getting my basketball schedule this week, and it all depends how my schedule works out this winter on whether I take any or all three official visits. I'm hoping to get in a few more official visits before I make my final college choice. I'm going to sit down with my parents this week and try to figure out when I can make a few more official visits."
So who might land those last visits from Hedstrom?
"I'm looking at taking an official visit to Navy as well as possibly Nebraska. My Dad is an old drill sargent for many years, and the academy life has always been an interest to me, so why not check it out for myself? I'm also looking at Nebraska, and I'm also looking at Arkansas, Tennessee and Michigan State as schools I might make my final official visit with."
