OL Eubanks recruiting is over par

St Paul, Minn. Cretin-Derham offensive line prospect Rafael Eubanks (6-foot-3, 290 pounds) could quite possibly be one of the largest high school golfers in the country this spring. Eubanks talked about his golf game as well as his latest offer and more.
“I really have been enjoying being a part of the golf team this spring," Rafael Eubanks said. “I love to play the sport, and I can drive the ball pretty well, but my medium and short game is what gives me trouble. Today, I shot par for four holes, but then I shot 13 over for the remaining five. Drive for show and putt for dough has never been more true."

Eubanks has also landed his eight scholarship offer this week, from the University of Maryland. "I have a scholarship offer from Maryland, and the coaches said that the paperwork is in the mail. Coach Tom Brattan, who is the offensive line coach for Maryland, used to recruit our school when he was at Stanford. My coach stayed in touch with him and sent him my highlight tape. Coach Brattan told him that they seldom recruit Minnesota, so to get an offer from Maryland is a great feeling."
Eubanks, who now has scholarship offers from Maryland, Stanford, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Iowa, Kansas State and Minnesota, has also seen plenty of coaches making visits to Cretin-Derham. "So far Michigan, Wisconsin and Wyoming have made in-school visits, and several more schools have also said that they will be in over the next few weeks."
