OL Eubanks adds an SEC offer

St Paul, Minn. Cretin-Derham four star ranked offensive line prospect Rafael Eubanks (6-foot-3, 290 pounds) learned yesterday that scholarship offers can and will come when you least expect it.
“I was in my coaches office yesterday after practice," Rafael Eubanks said. "I'm still getting some mail at school, and I looked and I had a Fed Ex package from Tennessee. The University of Tennessee has sent me a scholarship offer."

Eubanks talked about his latest offer from the Vols.
"It's funny because I really haven't had any contact with the coaches from Tennessee at all until now. I never received a call from them in May and I've received very little mail. I'm very excited about getting an offer from Tennessee, and getting that package was a great surprise. I'm going to give the coaches a call today and get a better idea about them as well as getting more information on the school."
Eubanks had originally set 7 schools as his early favorites.
"I still have 7 schools that I'm giving serious consideration to this summer. My seven schools include Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Stanford, Maryland and Miami (Fla.). Now that Tennessee has offered, I might need to rethink my seven schools listing. For now I'll stay with my original seven schools, but that could change."
Eubanks has been in the process of trying to decide where he will take official visits in the late fall.
"I've been thinking about that more this summer. I'm going to sit down with my family shortly and we're going to talk about each school and which schools I'm going to make an official visit."
Eubanks is still in double practice sessions this week, and Eubanks is excited to get his senior season underway.
"I'm really excited about getting the season started. Our team has been getting ranked in some national polls according to my coach, and it's added pressure. We've also taken that pressure and have translated it onto the football field, because the early publicity is just making us work that much harder as a team. We know that we'll get everone's best game this year, and it's actually given us more motivation as a team to live up to the hype this year."
