Today, the Oklahoma Sooners have landed their biggest commitment of the 2025 cycle.

Lewisville (Texas) five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi has announced his pledge to Oklahoma on Wednesday afternoon. He made the announcement in front of family, friends, and media at his high school.

Fasusi, 6-foot-6, 284-pounds, chose the Sooners over final contenders of Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, and Missouri. He holds over 30 total offers in his recruitment.

The newest commitment for Brent Venables and Bill Bedenbaugh is ranked as the No. 11 overall prospect in the Rivals250 as well as the No. 2 offensive tackle and No. 4 prospect in the state of Texas.

The recruitment of Fasusi was a fast paced, ever changing one up until the final few weeks before his decision. All the schools that were finalists, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, and Missouri, at various points in the process, felt good about their chances to land Fasusi.

He took official visits to all five. His official visit to Oklahoma came on June 14, his second to last visit.

Following such a significant commitment, Oklahoma has soared from No. 9 in the Recruiting Team Rankings all the way up to No. 4 behind Ohio State, LSU, and Alabama. They rank third best in the SEC.

The Sooners hold 23 total commitments in the class. The class is now broken up by one five-star, 17 four-stars, and five three-star prospects.

He joins three other offensive lineman in the class in four-star Ryan Fodje, four-star Darius Afalava, and three-star Owen Hollenbeck.
