Ohio OL not in any rush

West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West offensive guard Andrew Phelan is one of the better offensive linemen in Ohio, but the 6-foot-4, 279-pounder doesn't plan on rushing into the recruiting process.
"I want to see what happens over the summer first before I make any decisions," he said. "I'd like to stay in the east in the Ohio area, but I'll go wherever the best opportunity is at."

Phelan said he has offers on the table from Buffalo and Toledo. He said those aren't the only two schools that have expressed interest in him.
"Toledo is still keeping in touch with me," he said. "Buffalo, Oklahoma State, Indiana and Marshall are the others that seem really interested. My parents and I went up to Toledo, and I went to their junior day. Later this summer we are going to make it up to Buffalo and Indiana."
But first things first. Phelan is focused on helping Lakota West do something big in 2007.
"I'd like to get our school's first playoff win," he said.
"We've been there twice and haven't won one yet. We were there last year. I definitely want to work on my run blocking and dominating the line of scrimmage instead of being primarily a pass blocker. That's something that'll help the team and help me out."
