Quarterback Ryan Katz (6-1, 195, 4.6) from Santa Monica, Calif., is on the cusp of seeing his stock rise with more offers. Every camp he has been at Katz has impressed. Still he holds only one offer from Air Force.
"No else has made me another offer," Katz said. "Some schools want me to go to their camps.
"Maybe in a week or so other schools will be getting back to me and I could get an offer. Oregon State, Washington, Arizona State and San Jose State have been showing a lot of interest.
"I have been talking quite a bit to San Jose State and Utah was on my campus last Friday," Katz said. "I'm also getting a lot of positive feedback from Oregon State so I'm definitely going to Oregon State's camp.
"I might go up to Washington over the summer, but I haven't decided my summer game plan yet," Katz said. "I have to really research the camps I want to go to.
Katz is looking into camps put on by Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State and San Jose State as possibilities for his attendance.
The hard working Katz just impressed onlookers at the recent Elite 11 held at Cal Berkeley and the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto.
"The Elite 11 cam was the one I was waiting for," Katz said. "I was able to get more reps and I was able to throw in front of a lot of the coaches who wanted to see me throw in person."
Katz is earned first-team all-league as a junior after throwing for 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns against only four interceptions. He also rushed for 300 yards and had four touchdowns on the ground.
As a sophomore Katz was a second-team all-league selection.
