Oaks Christian WR has the right stuff

Wide receiver Blair Holliday (6-3, 195, 4.5) from Westlake (Calif.) Oaks Christian has the skills that D-I schools look for in a modern wide receiver. He has excellent size and speed to go with good pair of the hands. He also runs disciplined routes and makes the clutch catch that moves the chains.
Oaks Christian head coach Bill Redell has high praise for his wide receiver.

"Blair is a better receiver as Owusu (Stanford wide receiver Chris Owusu who starred at Oaks Christian) as far as catching the ball at the same stage of their careers," Redell said. "He runs better routes than Owusu did and has better hands, but he doesn't have the speed of Owusu.
"Owusu runs a 10.4, maybe 10.5, while Holliday is probably and I'm guessing 10.9 or 10.8 guy," Redell said. "I expect Holliday to have a big time senior season and are expecting big things about him."
High praise indeed as Owusu is a big time playmaker in the Pac 10.
Holliday is a playmaker in his own right as his junior season performance saw him earn first-team all-league, all-area and first-team all-county honors after hauling in 48 receptions for 857 yards and eight touchdowns. He had a long catch of 84 yards.
On the recruiting trail, Holliday is getting recruiting attention from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, UConn and Yale.
Holliday took in UCLA's Junior Day last Thursday Evening and said that he had a good time. He recently was catching balls at the Steve Clarkson Dream Makers Camp last Saturday (February 27th).
Keep an eye on this one as he looks to be a player who will see his stock take an upward turn as his film gets in the hands of college recruiters.
Redell said his film is just beginning to get to colleges and he fully expects Holliday to start getting offers in the very near future.
