CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NC Elite 7v7 Tournament was loaded with talented players from Texas to New Jersey. Here are some updates on the most highly coveted prospects in attendance.
Collins said the five schools that stand out to him right now are Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson and Florida State. He will visit Clemson in June and will go back up to Michigan again on June 17. It seems like Georgia and Michigan are in great position right now but Clemson, Florida State and Alabama are also major contenders.
Hunter has a very long offer sheet but committed to Georgia right around the beginning of January. He said that Kirby Smart becoming Georgia’s new head coach made it an easy decision. Hunter does plan on visiting USC, Michigan, Alabama and LSU this summer. He said those are really the only four schools that are still recruiting him. Hunter said he loves the people, coaches, and players at LSU and plans on camping there this summer. He says there is a “96-percent” chance he signs with Georgia.
Most recent visits to Auburn, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia are Terrell’s four most recent visits. His next visit will be to Clemson. Terrell really wants to learn more about Alabama. He wants to visit again to see the coaches more and see how they coach their players. Terrell wants to take official visits before he commits during the season. Right now Terrell is working with a top six of Alabama, Clemson, Auburn, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia. It sounds like Terrell has the best relationship with the coaches at Auburn.
Closing on 30 offers, Allen is planning on taking his recruitment slowly. He’s already taken a lot of visits to schools but really liked his visits to Clemson and Georgia. Allen said he also liked his visit to Notre Dame and wants to visit more schools on the west coast. He said he’s definitely going to visit Ohio State this summer. Nolan Edmonds and Trevor Lawrence are two players Allen is very close with and their decisions could be a factor in his recruitment.
Bell, a Rivals250 athlete, knows he will take official visits to Clemson, Tennessee, Florida and Michigan. Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia Tech and a few other schools are in contention for that last official visits. Bell and his 7-on-7 team will visit NC State and North Carolina on Sunday.
Robinson has a top 10 of Notre Dame, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, NC State, Michigan and Alabama. He will camp at Alabama June 5-8 and wants to visit Tennessee, NC State and Mississippi State before the season starts. Robinson said he will take official visits and might commit in December.
One of the more coveted defensive backs in the Southeast, Shaw listed a top 10 of North Carolina, Clemson, Auburn, South Carolina, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Tennessee and NC State. He feels like South Carolina and North Carolina are the two schools recruiting him the hardest. Shaw has already visited both schools this spring and plans on visiting North Carolina for the Freak Show, their annual elite camp summer camp. Clemson is one of his newest offers and has really intrigued him.
Louisville and Miami are tied at the top of Reed’s list. He will visit Maryland, Tennessee, Louisville, Wake Forest and Miami before the upcoming season and wants to wait to commit until after official visits. Reed said Louisville and Miami will probably get official visits. He really wants an offer from Tennessee and he’s been talking to the coaches for a while.
Kansas, Marshall, and NC State are three of Emezie’s most recent offers. Offers from Miami, Kentucky and West Virginia have caught his eye. Emezie is in touch with multiple coaches from all three of those schools. They want him to visit this summer. Emezie plans on visiting Virginia Tech for a camp in June.
Kentucky, Wake Forest and Louisville are Hopper’s three early offers. He will visit Kentucky this summer and will be planning more visits. Hopper has been talking to schools like North Carolina, Iowa State and a few others. He is originally from North Carolina so getting an offer from the Tar Heels could be big for him.
