As a junior, Pinkins earned all-league honors after racking up 52 tackles, five passes defended, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and two blocked punts.
On the recruiting trail, Pinkins has one offer from UNLV, but he is getting calls on a weekly basis so new offers could be on their way.
"Cal and Fresno State call me on a weekly basis," Pinkins said. "Fresno State said that they like how I play and they want to come to a game and if they like how I play they will offer. Cal came to a practice last week."
"Right now my interests are going towards Fresno State and Utah," Pinkins said. "I talk to Utah pretty regularly ever since they could start calling."
"I am taking my official visit to Utah in December," Pinkins said. "That's when they want me to come down. I would like to check out their football program and see how the campus life is."
"I'll probably make my decision at the end of my football season."
Are there any games left on your schedule that you are excited for?
"I am looking forward to playing Elk Grove," Pinkins said. "They are a power house team and they are in division I we are division III. So if we beat them our ranking would go up."
The scouting report on Pinkins is he has outstanding character, leadership skills and is a true student athlete. He's a natural hitter and is very good in run support, who is also solid in pass coverage
Pinkins was selected to the Rivals.com California Preseason Top 100 team for the class of 2009 landing as the Golden State's No. 94 prospect at any position.
