NoCal QB pulls the trigger

Three-star quarterback prospect Sean Mannion (6-5, 205, 4.9) from Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill was rising up the charts this spring due to outstanding camp performances. He recently was a standout at two camps and one he was so impressive he garnered an offer and he pulled the trigger making his college choice.
"I committed to Oregon State on Tuesday," Mannion said. "I just felt that is was a really nice fit.

"Oregon State has a really great bunch of coaches and I just thought that it was a really good fit for me. Their offense is almost identical to ours at Foothill."
Mannion earned all-league (HM) and all-(Bay) area (HM) after throwing for 2,608 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also had three rushing touchdowns.
The Beavers get a quarterback in Mannion, who has good size and a strong arm. He has been around football all of his life so he has a good knowledge for the game. He also has the poise you like in your quarterback. He led his team to four victories on their last offensive drive of the game last season.
Arizona, Cal, UCLA, Washington State and San Diego State all showed recruiting interest in Mannion.
