Peachtree Ridge Prospects
Nigel Warrior
DB Nigel Warrior - The Rivals100 defensive back - and cousin of teammate DeAngelo Gibbs - recently released a top 10, with Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and others in the mix.
DB Baylen Buchanan - The three-star prospect is committed to Louisville.
DB Chad Clay - The three-star prospect is committed to Georgia.
RB Malik Staples - The three-star running back is committed to Louisville.
S DeAngelo Gibbs (2017) - Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia are among the early programs pushing for the five-star.
LB Breon Dixon (2017) - It's still early for the Rivals250 prospect, but Auburn, Miami and Tennessee are among the schools vying for his services.
ATH Connor Heyward (2017) - Arizona State and Pittsburgh are two of the schools recruiting the son of Craig "Ironhead" Heyward.
LB Kam Jones (2017) - Jones has offers from Mississippi State, Northwestern and Connecticut.
Archer Prospects
Kyle Davis
WR Kyle Davis - The Rivals250 prospect was committed to South Carolina for quite a while, but is now open. Georgia and Tennessee are battling to land him.
OT E.J. Price - The Rivals250 prospect recently decommitted from Georgia, but the Bulldogs are still recruiting him, as is Tennessee, Michigan and others.
DT Kobe Smith - Smith recently committed to Kentucky.
LB Donta Evans - Evans recently committed to Ole Miss.
DB Dylan Singleton - One of the quietest prospects in his class, Singleton could join his older brother at Duke or look at other options like Auburn or Georgia.
DB Isaiah Pryor (2017) - Pryor recently committed to Ohio State.
DB Jamyest Williams (2017) - Clemson, Florida State and Georgia are among the schools near the top of Williams' list.
Looking Ahead
Isaiah Pryor
The amount of possible crossover opportunities for players in this game seem endless as several of the prospects on both teams could end up as future teammates, or college rivals. The most realistic way the latter takes place is if Warrior and Davis both join Clay at Georgia. Right now Davis looks like the most likely to end up in Athens, while Warrior has family ties to Tennessee but is also high on Alabama. The Vols are also heavily involved with Davis, Price and Warrior and many believe that cousins Warrior and Gibbs will end up attending the same college.
Outside of Staples and Buchanan, who are headed for the ACC and Louisville, it looks like most of the prospects could end up at SEC destinations. The most realistic scenario for a non-SEC clash in the future would be if Price ends up at Michigan, a school still very much in the mix for his services, and Pryor sticks by his pledge and ends up suiting up for the Buckeyes.
Quotables
DeAngelo Gibbs
Archer coach Andy Dyer:
"We won't do anything different (to defend DeAngelo Gibbs). We're going to do what we do. (Gibbs) had a couple of opportunities to make big plays last year and he did, but everyone has the opportunity to step up. We're not going to change what we do because if you put all your eggs in one basket to stop one guy, then there are two others that will hurt you."
