New offers for DE Royer

Manheim (Pa.) Central defensive end Dakota Royer has an offer list that almost anyone else in his class would love to claim and he's not slowing down any time soon.
New schools have joined the mix for the 6-foot-3, 222-pound lineman from the Keystone State.

"My newest offers are from Notre Dame and Kentucky," he said. "I talked to coach Weis from Notre Dame and he offered me a scholarship last Friday. Last Wednesday I got an offer from Kentucky.
"I've been in a lot of contact with Pitt, Penn State, Michigan State, Maryland, Notre Dame, Illinois and Kentucky."
Royer holds offers from all of those schools, as well as Rutgers, Temple and Stanford. He did say he has not been in much contact with those three programs.
"I was just out at Pitt on Saturday for their junior day and it went really well. I went to a basketball game and everything was really nice. All the coaches out there are great and very personal.
"I'm going to Maryland this coming weekend for a junior day and to see North Carolina play them, so that should be a lot of fun. I'll be heading out to Penn State sometime in the near future, as well as making plans to go out to Michigan State and Notre Dame.
"I don't have any favorites at this time. I'm just keeping all my options open. In the next month or so I plan on narrowing things down a little bit."
