New offer in for jumbo VA lineman

Offer No. 2 is in for Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor offensive tackle Sam Marshall. The 6-foot-8, 250-pounder landed his second Division I offer in the past two weeks.
"He got the offer yesterday around noon from East Carolina," Chancellor assistant coach Chris Lamb said. "He was hearing a lot from ECU and his recruiter was one on of our other linemen a couple years ago when he was at Elon. The line coach told me he liked everything he saw and that saw so much room for growth with his body and frame.

"They liked his athleticism and feet and they were ready to go for an offer."
How did Marshall react to the news?
"He was very, very excited," he said. "It's a relatively local school and they've got a new coaching staff. I know they want him to come down soon in April for spring practice."
Even more schools are taking a look at the lineman prospect including Louisville, Marshall, Iowa, Indiana and more.
Lamb discussed his lineman further.
"All of this attention is just motivating him even more," he said. "He's very motivated right now. He finished basketball and is dedicating himself in the weight room. You're talking about a baby, he's only 16 and a half and he put on 30-pounds last year. He has that hunger to develop and get himself to be so much better work wise."
