Nagel loves IUs offense

MORE: LB Draper attends first Michigan game
Indiana was one of the first two teams to offer Chicago Marist 2015 wide receiver Flynn Nagel a scholarship and on Saturday, he was in Bloomington attending his first Hoosiers' home game.

"Even though they lost it was still a great experience," Nagel said. "It was great to get to see them in-person at a game… I loved it."
The game visit also gave Nagel a chance to spend time getting to know the Indiana coaching staff more.
"I got there and got to talk to Coach (James) Patton, the recruiting coordinator. He is a great guy and a great coach," Nagel said. "I went down on the field and we talked to Coach (Kevin) Johns for a little bit. He talked about the offense and how they exploded the first game."
The offense was the focal point during Saturday's game for the 5-foot-11, 178-pound Nagel, who was watching to see how his skill set would fit with their scheme.
"Indiana's offense is unbelievable and I would love to play in an offense like that in college," Nagel said. "I feel it is kind of like the offense we run at Marist. I can't ask more much more of a better offense for a receiver than the spread."
The two schools that have offered Nagel already are Illinois and Indiana, but interest in the class of 2015 prospect has risen just within the last week.
"Right on September 1st on Facebook and Twitter I started getting friend requests and getting followed a bunch (of college coaches)," Nagel said. "Nebraska, Boston College and Mississippi State - I wasn't really expecting those schools. I talked to Coach (Justin) Frye at Boston College a couple nights ago and he's real interested."
If Nagel keeps putting up the numbers he has generated in his first two games of his junior season - 19 catches for 290 yards and four touchdowns - that interest is sure to increase. Nagel, however, is not one to rest on his laurels.
"You can never be satisfied, and I'm not going to get content," Nagel said. "I know our offense can perform like that every game - know we can explode like that every game."
Nagel has not yet planned out his next college visits, but he plans to see Illinois, Northwestern and possibly Northern Illinois this fall.
