The NCAA started allowing football prospects to take official visits during their junior year of high school last year, starting in April and going through June. Here's a look at the biggest official visits that have happened or will happen during that stretch.

Julian Fleming - Alabama, April 12

The nation’s top wide receiver returned to Alabama this past weekend, but this time it was for an official visit. He met the new offensive staff and got familiar with the program again. Clemson, Ohio State and Penn State are still major contenders for him as well, but the impact of this last visit on Fleming was substantial. It will be interesting to see how long the memory of this visit hangs over Fleming’s recruitment. Needless to say, Alabama is a recruiting juggernaut that has no problem beating other impressive programs for the top talent.

Rakim Jarrett - LSU, April 26

LSU is set to host Jarrett on his first official visit in two weeks, and the Tigers have a real shot to end up as Jarrett’s leader after the trip. Ed Orgeron and his staff have made a real impact recruiting in the Mid-Atlantic this year and already have a commitment from Rivals100 defensive end Demon Clowney. Jarrett could be the Tigers' next big commitment from the region but Tennessee, Ohio State and Clemson are very much in the hunt. Tennessee will get an official visit a few weeks after LSU and then Ohio State and Clemson will get official visits sometime after then.

Mekhail Sherman - Georgia, April 19

Georgia is the favorite to land Sherman’s commitment, and the Bulldogs are hosting him this weekend for an official visit during their spring game. Don’t expect a commitment from him so soon though. Ohio State, Georgia’s main competition, will get him on campus next weekend, April 26. Sherman will then make the trip to LSU for an official visit the first weekend in May. Florida is scheduled to host Sherman for an official visit the weekend of May 17, and Texas will do the same on May 31. Sherman will likely commit some time after that Texas official visit but before the start of the upcoming season.

Jordan Toles - LSU, June 7 or June 14

A two-sport star out of Baltimore powerhouse St. Frances Academy, Toles has kept a low profile on the recruiting scene as he focuses on his AAU basketball schedule. LSU, Maryland and a few other schools have offered him a basketball scholarship, in addition to a football scholarship, and that will probably be a big factor down the road. Toles has paid close attention to everything that is happening with LSU’s basketball team and is very familiar with the football team and its tradition in the secondary. Alabama will get an official visit from Toles at some point as well, but teams such as Ohio State, Penn State, West Virginia and Maryland remain heavily involved in his recruitment.

Chris Tyree - Oklahoma, April 12

The top-ranked all-purpose running back in the Rivals100, Tyree is working his way through official visits. He just took his first one to Oklahoma and the Sooners have reportedly hit a home run. Tyree loves the way he fits into that offense and with the coaching staff and he felt very comfortable in that environment. Notre Dame is scheduled to get an official visit in June, and Alabama will probably get one as well, so this recruitment isn’t over yet. The Irish and Tide seem to have some ground to make up, but they definitely have some time before all is said and done.
