Memphis (Tenn.) Melrose linebacker Antonio Harper is getting serious attention from a number of college programs and has an offer from one local Southeastern Conference team.
"I'm getting attention from Miami (Fla.), Florida State, Ole Miss and Alabama," Harper said. "That's the top four right now, but I am also real interested in Florida. I like Florida. I like how they handle things and I've been trying to get down there on a visit."

The Hurricanes, which signed running back Graig Cooper out of Melrose in the Class of 2006 (Cooper ended up re-signing with Miami in the Class of 2007 after spending a year in prep school), have always had Harper's attention.
"I think it's a good school," Harper said. "I have liked Miami since I was little."
There are things that stand out about the Seminoles to Harper as well.
"It's a good school, too," he said. "I like the academics at (Florida State)."
Ole Miss, which has offered Harper a scholarship, recruits Memphis perhaps harder than any other program. Several things stand out about the Rebels.
"They are a good school," he said. "I've been trying to get down there for a visit, but I just haven't been able to. They seem like they have great coaches."
Like Florida State, Alabama's academics also stand out.
"I like how their academics work for their athletes," he said.
Harper is busy getting ready for next season.
"I'm someone that works hard," he said. "I try to do my best whether it's on the field or in the classroom."
