McPhearson still solid to the Cuse

Athlete/running back Lamar McPhearson has been committed to the Orange for a while now and there's no doubt that several other schools would still love to have him. With the coaching change at Syracuse, might some of those other schools enter the picture?
"When I heard it I was obviously paying a lot of attention, because this is my future we're talking about," said McPhearson. "But I knew it was possible, especially after the showing in the bowl game. That's when I really heard people even on ESPN start to talk about it as a possibility.

"I called Coach White to find out what my future would look like with a new coaching staff there, and he told me that he thinks that he's going to be there. Coach Pasqualoni is a real nice guy, but I like people like Coach White enough to stay committed to Syracuse. I really like the school too, and the location. I don't want to leave the east coast, and Syracuse is close to home."
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound athlete from Wyncote (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt was being heavily recruited by other schools before committing to Syracuse. He had offers from programs such as UConn, Michigan State and North Carolina. How might those schools get back involved with McPhearson?
"Like I said, I'm still committed to Syracuse. Unless something else changes that's where I'll go. But if I did have to re-consider things I'd look at schools like UConn and North Carolina -- maybe even a school like Rutgers."
